RFL VPNFL file problems please read ASAP!
What does this mean to you? Well if you were
someone who is using the RFL off and def profiles as we all
should be there is no problem in that area. If you are someone
who makes his own playbooks from the VPNFL plays supplied by
VPNFL you are ok too because you couldn't see these Zero byte
files any ways so you were not using them (I think?). Now I also
found that there was a Special teams play that was at the VPNFL
site but I do not believe it was in the files. This could have
cause problems for many of us because we don't mess with those
much. Ok now for those of you using the VPNFL supplied game plans
you might have a problem or maybe not. Have you ever noticed in
some of those game plans there were no plays in some of the
boxes??? Well those were the zero byte file plays. Now that
doesn't mean that all those bad plays were not visible and when
we clicked on those that we wouldn't see boom hike error or some
other error. OK
I have downloaded a new fresh copy of VPNFL files along with
every patch available. I removed all zero byte files. All you
have to do is download it.

FIRST BACKUP YOUR PLAYBOOKS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone should download a copy of this new set. One Big note
please backup your playbooks! Then Delete the VPNFL folder from
the SIERRA\FBPRO98 directory & SIERRA\FBPOR98\CUSTOM. Copy a
new set of VPNFL\PROFILES into your
SIERRA\FBPOR98\CUSTOM directory after you have unzipped it of
course. It is a self extracting zip file all you need to do is
change the letter C if your game is not installed on the C-Drive
of your computer to what ever your drive letter is D, E, F......That
is it
Now I think there may be a slight chance we may have a few new
plays. Don't hold me to that because I haven't had time to look
them over. But I know one of the patches was dated around 6/17/99
much newer than what we started out using I know some def plays
may have been fixed in the AI department but don't hold me to
that either.
Last but not least make sure your playbooks are still correct.
Look them over in the editor and also try to make it a point to
play a game against the computer and make sure every play works.
Man what a pain.
